We both worked together at UPN Channel 13 News / KCOP in Hollywood, California.  On opposite sides of the newsroom, for a year we knew each other... but sparks didn't fly until the 2001 Christmas party.  We met up that following Friday at the Formosa Cafe and discovered we had the same sense of humor. 

 

For our first date, we went to see "The Majestic" at the Galaxy Theater (we both still have our movie tickets) and during the entire movie (it was pretty boring), we agreed that the best part of the movie was the monkey, and shouted several times in the almost empty theater (only 2 other couples), "BRING BACK THE MONKEY!!!  Later, Stormy asked if Jess had the hiccups (watch "The Majestic") and she replied, "just kiss me, if you want to kiss me."  The rest is history.
